After a tough start down in Lakeland, Cameron Maybin has caught fire and homered in each of his last three games. He now has six runs and five RBIs and an impressive .286/.423/.762 in his first seven games. Not too shabby for the top prospect.
It’s 4-2 in the fifth (Jays hitting). So far so good.
--Make that six solid innings. Unless the pen blows it (i.e. Jose Mesa’s warming up), Maroth is going to get a nice win in this one.
--Gotta admit I had this one pegged wrong. Maroth does look shaky, and I’m not sure how he gets anyone out, but he did the job yet again today. I wouldn’t say I’m a believer, but we shall see. If he keeps pitching well he will be fantastic trade bait.

Maroth is terrible. He matches up against Toronto terribly, and he’s going to get shelled. Shame on the Tigers for not recognizing his 2006 for what it was – a flash in the pan. He misses no bats, and he has to face a middle of Wells, Thomas, and Glaus. Spells disaster.
